I spent the last 6 months installing a twin turbo system to the LS1 in my roadster. It has 2 Garrett turbos, Tial wastegates and blow off valves, 2 pre-intercooler intercoolers, 2 fully independant water to air intercoolers with heat exchangers, water/methanol injection (boost cooler), on the fly electronic boost modification, custom made alum intake tubes, no mufflers but kept the cats for now. Had to make 4 custom reservoirs and of course completely redo the exhaust and cooling lines, again.

Currently using 5 psi boost until I can get back to the engine for internal upgrades, someday...

Still need to install a catch can and vent the crank case better but it runs and works well. I will upload some pics in the next week or so.

Time to get back to those doors...Would I recommend doing turbo to anyone? NO. Just figuring out how to tap into the coolant and oil for the turbos was a nightmare and took a lot of custom work. Not to mention the cost, cuts, bruses, and fustration.

If anyone was thinking of doing this I would put this at a difficulty level of 8 of 10. Not a 10 of 10 simply due to the electronics being very easy to setup.

Prices and part numbers would be nice too if somebody would want to install. Share with the team please.

Use the link to see some photos of progress. The farther you scroll down the older the pics are.

Been running for a few months. The turbos, intercoolers, boost cooler, etc are completely setup and ready for a dyno run some day. I am back to working on the doors.

Very good. How much did this turbo setup run you?

Turbos = 2000
Blow off and waste gates = 500
Gauges and electronics = 800
Water pumps (3) = 400
boost cooler = 600
Intercoolers = 400
Various plumbing = 800
Sensors, stainless pipe, silicone couplers, t-clamps = 500
Engine upgrades good to 10psi boost:
Injectors = 600
Gas pump to 1000hp, pre and post filers, heat sink, etc = 800.
Custom fabrication on 4 resivors, mounts, exhaust, etc = priceless...

You could easily cut that cost down. I went with the best I could find. You could also setup a V12 for that price but I did not want to go through the hassle just yet and I want twin turbos for fun and the sound, for now.

That it is. There is a good 1 to 2 inches between everything that gets hot. If you only put 5 to 7psi boost the water to air intercoolers and the boost cooler could be left out. That would open up a lot of room and cut the costs down considerably. Its hard to see but there are really 3 layers of "stuff." The drawback is if I need to pull the transaxle or something close to it I have to remove everything. That alone would take 4 hours of disassembly.
