Hey Tim I know Dale has not replied to you yet but before I take a break from the forum... holiday weekend.. I figured I would atleast give you the link to our build site where I documented the LS1 headers we custom made http://diablo.kitcarmagazine.com/Current%5FProgress/Engine/Images/Exhaust.asp

We are using the stock headers on the crate engine. We are running 2 1/2" pipes up to our muffler. It is very tight with the custom chassis. I'll try to get pictures posted soon.

Thanks for the replies. The stainless works place looks like a good start.

Dale, I was thinking of using the stock headers too, so I'll guess we'll see how yours turns out

Tim,
We are using Street and Performance Headers that are their type 3 which angle back towards the back of the motor. We started with the Shorty headers type 1 and they would not work with the motor mounts.

They have some very cool stuff like the swiveling water neck which could be very useful.

Tim I welded up that hole system. It was a bit of fun thats for sure. If you need to talk about it in more detail feel free to call our shop. The phone number is on the web site.

Hope it all works out for you. Smile
