Im buildint my first kit, Lambo mercy. Im just starting out, got the Fiero all stripped down ready for a professional stretch. I have kind of paused inorder to get as much info as I can before I go on. Im looking for a good powerful engine at reasonable cost. Im not cheap but also not full of money, I would have a real Lambo lol. I thought of putting the LS1 engine but the whole trany issue sounds like a pain in the azs. So now Im looking for a powerful engine and transmission I can pull out of one car and put into my fiero/lambo. I thought of the Dodge Stealth RT Twin Turbo and the 3000GT VR4...same engine. There was a few years when they made them FWD, they come rated at 320hp and since its a twin turbo, I can easily bring the engine up to 450-500+ HP (which I probably will)
My question is can I use the engine and the tranny out of this car (FWD) and drop it in the back of the fiero/lambo. What problems might I run into?
Im trying to find a front engine/FWD lots of power combo and has to be manual 5-6spd.
Thanks guys! |

Keep in mind, the FWD R/T model is 222 hp, 5 speed manual or 4 spd auto.
The twin turbo is 320, AWD with a viscous coupling to the rear wheels, geared to give the rear 61% of the torque. Getrag 6 spd manual only. |

HI I have a mitsi GTO 3l twinturbo in NZ had it for 12 years great car, gearbox would not take 400-500 for very long, there was a local company that used to run a road car with 450hp but they say gearboxes failed often, car produces heaps of tq says 43.5 kg.m @2500rpm and 280ps .just after i got it gearbox needed work due to leak it was then i discovered the shaft from the gearbox to the transfer case had twisted 1 tooth around on the spine so it was replaced mine suspect previous owner gave it a hard time, has a getrag 5 speed its a 93 car only he later like 97 had the 6 speed from japan.
regards

| Building your won car looks very fun! I'm wondering how much does it cost to build one considering that some parts may not be as original like the engine. |
